QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHING STAFF

Professor

A suitably qualified candidate must have been a Reader or Associate Professor for four (4) years and has a Doctorate degree in the relevant discipline with at least ten (10) years University teaching and research experience in the relevant areas. 

 

Associate Professor

A suitably qualified candidate must have been a Senior Lecturer for at least four (4) years and has a Doctorate Degree in the relevant discipline with at least eight (8) years of experience in University teaching and research in the relevant areas. 

 

Senior Lecturer:

The candidate must have a Ph.D degree in the relevant field(s), from a recognised institution, with at least six (6) years post qualification lecturing/cognate experience. He/she must have at least seven (7) publications, five (5) of which must be in reputable journals. There must be evidence of continuous research and publication. Applicants in this category must be able to advise postgraduate students in their discipline as the University grows.

 

Lecturer I:

The candidate must have a first degree and a Doctorate Degree in the relevant discipline with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience in the relevant areas in a University. Candidate must have been a Lecturer II for three (3) years and must have a good record of scholarly publications of at least four (4) journal papers or three (3) journal papers. He/she must demonstrate ability to initiate and supervise research programmes and projects at the undergraduate level.

Lecturer II:

The candidate must have a Ph.D degree in the relevant field(s) with at least one publication in a reputable journal coupled with a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR NON - TEACHING STAFF

 

STATISTICIAN II

A candidate must possess a Degree not lower than 2nd Class Lower Division in Statistics, obtained from a recognized University.

 


 

 

CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY I

Candidate must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Studies or Office Technology Management from recognized institutions. Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and have at least three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience.

 

ACCOUNTANT II

A candidate must possess a Degree not lower than 2nd Class Lower Division in Accounting, obtained from a recognized University.

 

FINANCE ASSISTANT III

A candidate must possess a National Diploma in Accountancy or Business Administration not below Lower Credit Level obtained from an approved institution, plus at least two years post qualification cognate experience.

 

COACH II

A Candidate for this position should possess a degree in Physical and Health Education not below Second Class Honours from a recognised University.

 

GRADUATE LIBRARY ASSISTANT:

A candidate should possess B.LS or B.Sc. (Library & Information Science) in a recognised University plus at least one-year post qualification cognate experience in a University Library.

 

PRINCIPAL LIBRARY ASSISTANT:

A candidate must possess an OND or NCE in Library Science from a recognised Institution with evidence of computer literacy.

 

PROGRAMER II / SYSTEM ANALYST II:

A candidate must possess a good honours Degree in Computer Science or Information and Communication Technology from a recognised University not below 2nd Class Lower Division. Qualifications must bear relevance to library management.

 

LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST II

A candidate should possess O Level Credit passes (WAEC/ NECO/GCE) including English Language and Mathematics and a good HND in relevant discipline not below Lower Credit level, plus registration with Institute of Science Laboratory Technology.
