Ritman University joined the academic and leadership community of Akwa Ibom State yesterday at the appreciation ceremony held in honour of the outgoing Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Professor Samuel G. Odewumi, and the inauguration of the institution’s incoming 9th substantive Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher N. Ekong. The event took place at the 1000-Seater TETFund Auditorium, University of Uyo.

The University community recently witnessed a significant administrative transition as it celebrated the successful completion of tenure of the immediate past Bursar, Uduak Ekanem, and officially welcomed the newly appointed Bursar, Gideon Habila Banle, to the institution's leadership team.

Ritman University, Ikot Ekpene, on Wednesday, 20th May 2026, received the leadership of the National Association of University Students (NAUS), Campus Monitoring Committee (CMC), Akwa Ibom State Axis, during an official campus tour aimed at fostering unity, strengthening collaboration among student bodies, and engaging student leaders on matters affecting students across the state.

Students of the 300 Level, Department of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (IRPM), one of the academic programmes under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at Ritman University, have embarked on an educational industrial visit aimed at broadening their practical understanding of employment relations and human resource management.

In a significant step towards strengthening professional education and preparing students for global career opportunities, Ritman University has officially approved the commencement of the ICAN/ATSWA Training Programme for undergraduate accounting students and other interested candidates within the University community.

The Vice-Chancellor of Ritman University, Prof. Akan Williams, was among distinguished personalities honoured during the swearing-in ceremony of the new leadership team, induction of new members, and reception of distinguished Vice-Chancellors organised by the Elite Brothers International Club.
