Deaconess Faith Eyefuginghin Emmanuel was born on September 22, 1970, at Island Maternity, Lagos State. She is an indigene of Ode Itsekiri, Warri Local Government Area, Delta State.
Her educational journey began in 1975 at Young Women Christian Association of Nigeria (YWCA) Play Centre, Lagos branch. She attended Ireti Girls School 11, Falomo S.W, Ikoyi, Lagos State and Port Harcourt Primary School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She began her secondary school education in 1982 at Government Girls’ Secondary School, Harbour Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and
later Agudama Comprehensive High School, Agudama-Ekpetiama, Yenegoa, Bayelsa State, where she obtained her GCE in 1987.
In 1988, she was admitted to the then Cross Rivers State University (UNICROSS), which was converted to the University of Uyo, where she graduated in 1992 with a B.Sc. in Sociology and Anthropology. She enrolled in the University of Uyo for her Masters Degree programme, and graduated in 2003 with a M.Sc. Sociology in Community and Rural Development.
Her journey as an Administrator started in September 1st, 1994 at the University of Uyo as an Administrative Officer 11. She rose through the ranks to the position of Director. Her service as an astute Administrator spanned a period of thirty-one (31) years at the University of Uyo.
In these 31 years journey, she was a Part-Time lecturer from 2005-2008 in the Department of Sociology, School of Continuing Education, University of Uyo. She headed different administrative Units in the University system; as
Head, Admissions Unit, School of Continuing Education from 2001-2008, Head, Examination Unit from 2008 – 2011, Head, Staff Training Unit from 2011-2015, Faculty Officer, Faculty of Social Sciences from 2015 – 2022, Head, Senate Unit from 2018-2022 and Director, Directorate of Staff Training in 2022 -2025. She also served as a member in various Committees in the University system. She was a one-time Vice-Chairperson, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) University of Uyo branch from 2008-2010, Congregation Representative at the Senior and Technical Staff Appraisal Committee from 2009-2013 and the Development Committee from 2013-2018.
She was also a one time National Assistant Secretary of Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), 2014-2018.
She is a Public Speaker and a Trainer. She has attended many conferences and workshops and had the privilege of speaking and training others in some of these workshops. She is a devout and committed Christian, a Deaconess at Full Life Christian Centre, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. A member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and the Nigerian Institute of Manpower Development and Industrial Relations (NIMDRI).
She is the first female and second substantive Registrar, Ritman University, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
