RITMAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS LEADERSHIP TEAM HOLDS CONGRESS MEETING

In its continued commitment to fostering transparency, inclusiveness, and effective communication within the University community, the Students Leadership Team of Ritman University, Ikot Ekpene, held a congress meeting with the Management Team on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the College Auditorium.

The interactive session, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Akan B. Williams , brought together students from all departments and levels for a robust dialogue on academic progress, welfare, and institutional development.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation to the students for their cooperation and dedication to learning, emphasizing the Management’s resolve to continually improve teaching, learning facilities, and campus life. He noted that the congress provided an opportunity to listen directly to students’ concerns and ideas toward building a more vibrant and progressive University system.

Other members of the Management Team, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and Dean of Students’ Affairs also addressed key administrative, financial, and academic matters. The discussions centered on improved communication channels, hostel management, security, student discipline, and opportunities for extracurricular development.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the Students’ Representative the SLT President, Comrade John, appreciated the Management for facilitating the hosting of the meeting, describing it as a timely and productive step toward strengthening mutual understanding and institutional growth.

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of unity and purpose, as both Management and students reaffirmed their shared vision of advancing Ritman University’s core values of excellence, discipline, and innovation.
